Operating Status
Located in southern Qinghai‑Xizang Plateau, Gansu features undulating terrain with huge elevation differences. It belongs to plateau monsoon climate, controlled by dry continental monsoon in winter and humid ocean monsoon in summer. Distinct terrain elevation differences and sufficient average daily wind speed make it suitable for BioFilter non‑powered products.
Local villages are scattered, mostly in remote mountainous areas with poor transportation. Conventional sewage‑treatment equipment requires regular maintenance by specialized personnel with high labor and time costs, and stable long‑term equipment operation cannot be guaranteed in the long run.
Based on permanent‑resident population and daily water consumption of each village in the project, technicians recommend non‑powered purification tanks. Based on bio‑film principle with natural ventilation, the purification tanks require no power supply or professional on‑site maintenance for daily operation, meeting user demands in remote areas.
